Because I have nothing to post

Ooo, here's something I can add here without actually doing any work to upload photos. The lamps on the bedside tables in the last photo posted... Eric made those! By hand! And they are beautiful!

Me? I put them on those tables.

One room down...

Look, we have a master bedroom. Now only six more rooms, and the basement, to go. If you want to see how much has changed check out the before pictures in the archives.

The work continues and continues...

The bathroom is cleaned and painted. Still in need of new tile and new sink and on and on and on.

Emily and the cousins in the master bedroom unpacking. The wall color is painted but the trim is not all white yet.

Lynn removing wallpaper in the kitchen.

Evan and Grandpa Gary in the dining room cutting the pad for under the area rugs. The floors and paint are done! Yea! Claudia sleeps with Grandma Marilyn in the background.

From the dining room looking into the living room. Ryan and Kyle checking out the newly set up living room, or rather the tv showing some football game. In the foreground is a dresser and clean laundry that belong in the master bedroom but that have only made it this far.

The work continues...

The rooms have been painted. The floors are refinished. Now comes the unpacking. Everything the girls own is now in half of the living room. A temporary step. Remind me that I said that in five years when all this stuff, and more, no doubt, is still in there.

A lot books, although just a drop in the bucket of all the books we own, are now living on a shelf in the dining room. The shelf also belongs somewhere else. There must be an easier way to move.

Emily is thrilled with the entire process, as you can see.

The work begins!

Megan babysitting Claudia AND cleaning out our kitchen cabinets. Now that's friendship!

The living room floors mid sanding. What have we done?

Emily and Grandma Marilyn stripping wallpaper in Emily's closet.

The dining room floors mid sanding. Notice the tiny test strip in the middle. It is there to keep hope alive that this is all worth it.

The living room and another test strip. Neither the sanding monster nor the blinds will be staying.
